Violin Labeled George Mougenot (1/2 size) in good condition.

 

 

Georges Mougenot was born in Mirecourt, France in 1843 where he was apprenticed to George Deroux and after working for various makers went to Brussels where he settled for the rest of his life, establishing a workshop of the highest standard and ever increasing popularity. Mougenot's work is regarded as being of the finest quality, both for craftsmanship and tone. Please call for detail information.

John Juzek 1/4 size ca 1930

John Juzek was a prolific and consistently capable violin maker. John Juzek worked in Prague in the early 20th century. His violins and violas are often a Guarneri with a Stradivari scroll and slightly elongated f-holes. They are among the highest quality Czech instruments and possess a bright and powerful tone.
